Sarah's House

A maternity home in Austin, Texas

Breath of Life Ministries describes Sarah's House:

Ministry Purpose...
Sarah's House is a Christian program for expectant, single mothers. Our home houses adult women (18 years & over) and provides shelter, love and encouragement for women who are in need of an alternative.

Programs...
Our programs are designed to establish and promote a sense of responsibility in the women.  They include weekly counseling with a Christian counselor; classes on nutrition, birthing, financial management, adoption, home safety, single parenting, infant care, cooking and many other vital lifecare topics.  All classes are taught by a combination of lay volunteers and professionals.  Volunteers are also one-on-one support partners, friends and "encouragers" during this difficult time for the women. Each woman must follow established guidelines with regard to working, attending school and church, personal counseling and household chores. Most importantly, we are seeking to show these women the love of Jesus Christ through our love for and acceptance of them.

Operation Christmas Child

A program of Samaritan's Purse

Operation Christmas Child sends a message of hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and Christian literature. This program provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that reaches out to suffering children while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas– Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift.

Mother's Milk Bank at Austin

Welcome Home Africa
MommyJackie's Kids in Uganda

From their website:

One of the goals of Welcome Home is to help heal broken families by encouraging continuing loving contact between the children and their families (those that have families). Because of circumstances, lack of knowledge of baby care or large families, many parents cannot care for their infant children until they are a bit older. Without the assistance of Welcome Home these children could die or live in extremely dangerous situations. Welcome Home Africa Ministries is a charitable organization that is supported by individuals and churches throughout the world who care about God's sick, suffering, and homeless children.  Won't you help and become His hands extended?
