We are a Christian, homeschooling family living in Central Texas. I (Patti) am a stay-at-home mama, and the one you'll talk to when you call or e-mail. Papa Stephen, our resident computer wiz, codes all the non-design stuff on this site (thanks for the shopping cart, Stephen!). We have two wonderful children who make us laugh, drive us crazy and are our greatest teachers.

You may be wondering: Is this mama really joyful all the time? The joy in my life comes not from me, nor from my circumstances, but from God. Take me by myself, and you'll get a grumpy, selfish woman. There are days when that is all you'd see! Those are the days when I forget who I really am, and what the source of my joy and strength is. My heart's desire is to serve God, and as He grows me in faith He allows me to taste more of His joy. I'll spend the rest of my life learning how to let go and allow Him the control of my life that leads to that joy!

Mamas are what The Joyful Mama is all about. I truly believe that motherhood is a ministry, and a great calling. I love to learn more about the women I meet, and encourage you to stay in touch.
